Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Reaches Power-Sharing Agreement

On February 3, U.S. Senate leadership announced an agreement on how powers will be shared given the current even divide of Democrat and Republican seats. As Vice-President Kamala Harris serves as the President of the Senate, the Democrats will hold majority control. Along with the power sharing agreement, the Senate passed an organizing resolution, which allowed for Committee membership to be finalized. The membership of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry will be divided evenly with 11 members on each side led by Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and Ranking Member John Boozman (R-AR). New Democrat members for the Committee are Cory Booker (D-NJ), Ben Ray Lujan (D-NM), and Raphael Warnock (D-GA). New Republican members for the Committee are Roger Marshall (R-KS), and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL). Full Committee membership is listed below.
