ASTA, Euroseeds Host Transatlantic Dialogue on Ag Innovation for a Sustainable Food System

On October 12, ASTA and Euroseeds partnered to host a transatlantic dialogue on the role of agricultural innovation in sustainable food systems. The online event, moderated by George Lyon, former Member of the European Parliament, featured remarks by U.S. and EU government leaders, and was well attended by policymakers, industry, NGOs, the science community and media. Following the dialogue, ASTA and Euroseeds issued a joint document titled, “Charting Transatlantic Cooperation for a Sustainable Food System,” which outlines six key priorities for unlocking the potential of plant breeding innovation.
