McKalip Nomination Advances out of Committee

On September 8, the Senate Finance Committee voted unanimously to approve Doug McKalip, Senior USDA Advisor, to be the chief agricultural negotiator in the Office of the United States Trade Representative. McKalip’s nomination is now before the full Senate for final approval. In early July, ASTA joined an industry-led letter to Senate Finance Committee Chairman Wyden and Ranking Member Crapo expressing support for McKalip’s swift confirmation to the position.
