ASTA Welcomes New Summer Interns

Anna Bonnet and Ryan Rakowitz have joined the ASTA team as 2023 summer interns.

Anna Bonnet, ASTA’s Communications and Marketing intern, is a senior agricultural media and communication major at West Texas A&M University. She is very involved in the Department Agricultural Sciences and has gained experience from many national livestock shows, American Farm Bureau, and Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Associations.

On campus, she is an officer for the Collegiate Farm Bureau and Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow and a member of the Rogers LEAD program. Upon graduation next May, Anna hopes to continue her education and pursue a career in agriculture policy and law.

Ryan Rakowitz, ASTA’s Government Affairs intern, interned for the agricultural policy group Combest Sell & Associates during the previous summer. Prior to that, he gained valuable experience interning with Kevin Brady, the former Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. Currently, Ryan is embarking on his third year of Law School at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. At the university, he actively participates in the Real Estate Clinic and other organizations. Ryan pursued his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University, majoring in Agricultural Economics and minoring in Agronomy. Growing up on his family’s cattle ranch in Floresville, Texas, Ryan developed a deep passion for the agricultural industry, which continues to drive his career aspirations.
