ASTA attended the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) Annual Meeting in Indianapolis last week. During the meeting, staff heard updates directly from the Secretaries, Directors, or Commissioners of Agriculture from 23 out of 50 states. These leaders highlighted many issues in their state including plant pest issues in nurseries, PFAS legislation and regulations, EPA rules effecting state operations, harmonization between neonicotinoid rules and pollinator health, the aftermath of the Chevron Decision, and much more. Several ASTA member companies were in attendance and showcased their facilities, including Corteva Agriscience and Beck’s Hybrids. The next NASDA meeting will take place in February in Washington, D.C.
