ASTA Congratulates Brooke Rollins on USDA Secretary Confirmation

On February 13, ASTA issued the following statement after the U.S. Senate confirmed Brooke Rollins as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.

“America’s seed producers sincerely congratulate Secretary Rollins on her confirmation. As the first step in the agricultural value chain, the seed industry plays a critical role in supporting America’s farmers to grow the food, feed, fiber, and fuel they provide to millions of families across the country and around the world,” said Andy LaVigne, ASTA President and CEO.

ASTA’s Andy LaVigne, Janae Brady, and Payton Englert celebrated Sec. Rollins’ confirmation at USDA headquarters on February 14. In a brief conversation with the Secretary after her remarks, ASTA congratulated her, introduced association government affairs staff, and highlighted our longstanding partnership with USDA and commitment to work with the agency.
