Sharp Brothers Seed Company Sales Agronomist Position

Sharp Brothers Seed Company serves a diverse customer base including conservation /revegetation professionals, ranchers, farmers, contractors, turf businesses, wildlife professionals and home owners.

The responsibilities of the sales agronomist include:
• Providing sales staff and customers with agronomic information as it pertains to the company product mix
• Fielding customer sales calls
• Oversight of the Dealer network
• Assisting the media specialist in design and implementation of internet, broadcast and print advertising efforts as well as promotional, customer technical support and public relations initiatives.
• Advising company management and Sharp Seed Farms management in forecasting future seed production and seed acquisition needs.

The sales agronomist will base activities from the company’s Healy KS headquarters. In addition sales agronomist will spend time with the outside sales staff in the geographic regions of their responsibility. Sales agronomist should have the ability to communicate effectively, train staff regarding product knowledge, build a team approach with staffers, and maintain strong relations with the company’s customer base. General agronomic principles and familiarity with central and southern plains farming, ranching and livestock production, including chemical uses is crucial to this position.
