APHIS Hosted Electronic Phytosanitary Certification Webinar on May 22

On May 22, USDA APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine hosted a webinar to provide an update on its Electronic Phytosanitary Certification system. The webinar provided information on how phytosanitary certificates will be exchanged among countries, what information will be included in E-phytos, which countries are currently prepared to begin exchanging E-phytos, and an update on the status of the various pilot projects that are underway to test the system. The IPPC plans to phase in the new E-Phyto system over the next 1-2 years. Please contact Ric Dunkle for a recap of the webinar.
