Applications Open for UC Davis Plant Breeding Academy Class IX

Applications are open for Class IX of the UC Davis Plant Breeding Academy (PBA) which starts in January 2024. Participants meet six sessions over two years. Learn more about PBA and apply here.
The Seed Biotechnology Center at UC Davis developed a professional development course to teach the principles of plant breeding to seed industry personnel. This program is entirely focused on plant breeding and is taught the majority by experienced plant breeders. The PBA develops the skills and abilities of current industry personnel to enable them to become independent breeders or more valuable contributors to larger breeding programs. This two-year course addresses the reduced number of plant breeders being trained in academic programs.
