ASTA Attends Annual FONA Dinner

  • On October 2, 2024

ASTA recently supported the Annual Friends of the National Arboretum (FONA) dinner in Washington, D.C. This dinner is held within the grounds of the National Arboretum and brings together many different sectors of the agricultural, forestry, horticultural, and environmental industries. Over 300 attendees gathered to celebrate the rich history of the Arboretum, which was established in 1927, as well as learn about the activities and needs of the park. This year’s speakers included USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack, Senator Debbie Stabenow, and Congressman G.T. Thompson. This event offers the ASTA team the opportunity to connect with the larger agricultural community and policy makers to discuss the importance and reach of seed across the sector. ASTA Chairman Dan Foor had the opportunity to engage with both Secretary Vilsack and Chairman Thompson on the industry’s priorities and our support for a bipartisan farm bill.
