ASTA Attends APS Meeting

Dr. Martha Malapi, ASTA’s Director of Seed Health & Trade, presented at the 2024 American Phytopathological Society Annual Meeting in Memphis, Tennessee. The APS meeting is where plant pathologists from around the world gather to share and present research and advancements in plant health technology while building impactful relationships.
Dr. Malapi presented at the “Biological Relevance in Seed Health Diagnostics” session, organized by Corteva Agriscience. Her presentation highlighted the power of partnering with academia to validate high-throughput sequencing technologies for assessing the biological relevance of targeted pathogens to facilitate the safe movement of seeds.
