ASTA Headlines World Food Prize International Dialogue Panel

ASTA, in partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), will host a panel discussion titled “Investment and Global Trade Support a Vibrant Seed Sector through Agriculture-led Growth in Africa” on Tuesday, October 29 at 6 p.m. CDT. Speakers include:
- Yacouba Diallo, Secretary General, African Seed Trade Association (AFSTA)
- Francis Onyekachi, Product Stewardship Manager, African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF)
- Ann Vaughan, Deputy Assistant Administrator, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Resilience, Environment, and Food Security (REFS) (USAID)
- Todd Jones, Philanthropic Program Leader, Corteva Agriscience (Corteva)
- Andy LaVigne, President and CEO, American Seed Trade Association (ASTA)
- Samuel Crowell, Sr. Director, International Programs and Policy (ASTA)

The discussion will focus on the opportunities and challenges the seed sector faces in Africa. The session aims to advance partnerships between public, private, and non-profit stakeholders to strengthen both investment and trade in seed across the region.
