ASTA Participates in the USAEDC 39th Annual Attaché Conference July 10-11

The U.S. Agricultural Export Development Council held its 39^th annual Attaché Conference in Arlington, VA July 10-11. ASTA staff participated in sessions throughout the event and sat on a panel for plant breeding innovation. Speakers at the event included U.S. trade officials, international attachés, and association staff.

ASTA’s Senior Vice President of Innovation Bernice Slutsky and Vice President of Strategic Communications Bethany Shively participated on a panel titled “Plant Breeding Innovation: The Policy Environment for Gene Edited Foods,” along with Mark Petry, Chief, American Institute in Taiwan, FAS and Roz Leeck, Senior Director, Market Access, U.S. Soybean Export Council. The panel was moderated by Dr. Fan-Li Chou, USDA Biotechnology Coordinator.
