ASTA’s International Executive Committee Holds Virtual Meeting

ASTA’s International Executive Committee (IEC) met on April 21 for a virtual meeting to review the association’s international programs and opportunities under ASTA’s USDA Foreign Market Development and Market Access Programs, and the Agricultural Trade Promotion cooperator funding. Some of the key topics of discussion included: critical markets and policy goals; impacts of COVID on global seed movement and ASTA initiatives; and updates from regional and international organizations.

The IEC is comprised of individuals who represent the U.S. seed industry by serving on international and regional organizations such as the International Seed Federation, as well as those who chair ASTA’s country working groups and hold key leadership positions within ASTA.
