Dr. Donn Cummings Receives ISU Award

The National Association of Plant Breeders (NAPB) announced that Dr. Donn Cummings will be presented with Iowa State University’s (ISU) Extraordinary Service to Plant Breeding Community award. The award ceremony will be held on March 22 at the Raymond F. Baker Plant Breeding Symposium.
Dr. Cummings is widely recognized for his impactful leadership and service in the areas of plant breeding and genetics. He is a founding member of NAPB and has continued to lead and contribute to plant breeding and genetics by serving in NAPB, ASTA, Crop Science Society of America and Agronomic Science Foundation. In June 2023, ASTA presented Dr. Cummings with its Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes those whose efforts have made a significant contribution to the association and the U.S. seed industry.
