Dr. Jewel Bronaugh Confirmed as Deputy Secretary of Agriculture

On May 13, the U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed Dr. Jewel Bronaugh as the Deputy Secretary of Agriculture at USDA. Prior to her confirmation, Bronaugh served as the 16^th Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. ASTA previously joined more than 60 leading agricultural associations in signing a letter to the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry strongly supporting her nomination.
