NAPPO Welcomes Jessica Mahalingappa as the new Associate Deputy Administrator of International Phytosanitary Issues Management and Standards Programs for APHIS-PPQ

The North American Plant Protection Organization (NAPPO) Secretariat announced Jessica Mahalingappa as the new Associate Deputy Administrator of International Phytosanitary Issues Management and Standards Programs for the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service – Plant Protection and Quarantine (APHIS-PPQ) and the U.S. NAPPO Executive Committee Chairperson.
In this position, Jessica provides executive-level management to harmonize international rules of trade to prevent the introduction and spread of invasive pests and diseases; facilitate safe trade; and to establish fair, science-based plant health requirements for imported and exported plant commodities.
