Student Sponsors Needed for the ASTA Leadership Summit

ASTA is seeking a series of small sponsorships from seed companies to help support student participation at the upcoming ASTA Leadership Summit this June in Nashville. In 2023, nearly 50 students attended the robust student program, directly leading to new hires from networking at the event. In the recent years, ASTA has collaborated with Seed Central on a “Student Forum” effort, a collaboration intended to bring students to ASTA conferences.

As part of ASTA’s efforts to inspire and educate the next generation of seed industry professionals, we are asking for your help to bring a large cohort of students to Nashville to learn about the seed industry and its many career opportunities. The cost to sponsor this valuable opportunity for students is nominal, considering the benefits of the experience for both students and companies alike. The program, outlined on the Leadership Summit website, includes student-focused programming and a career fair, with poster presentation opportunities. “Considering that the seed industry is facing a challenge of not having enough new people entering the seed business, these development opportunities are crucial,” says Francois Korn of Seed Central.
