TAKE NOTE: New Federal, ASTA Cybersecurity Resources Available
- On April 21, 2022
April marks the launch of the 5th annual “National Supply Chain Integrity Month” with a call to action for organizations across the country to “fortify the chain,” against foreign adversaries and other potential risks. Given the current global strife and Russia’s attack of Ukraine, USDA released its one-year report, “USDA Agri-Food Supply Chain Assessment: Program and Policy Options for Strengthening Resilience” which highlights four supply chain vulnerabilities facing the food and agriculture sector: pesticides; farm machinery parts; products dependent on low labor costs; and cyber-attacks.
During ASTA’s Leadership Summit in June, the LEAD Committee will host a session with OneAmerica, exploring threats to cybersecurity and offering guidance for companies to ensure they and their customers are protected from potential attacks. Click here for more information and to get registered.
In the meantime, on April 26, InfraGard is hosting an online course that will outline the threat actors, their tactics, exfiltration methods, and best practices on how to protect against IP theft. For more information and to register, visit the course webpage.
Finally, in this time of heightened risk due the war in Ukraine, Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) urges lowering the threshold for sharing information to raise our collective resilience to global cyber threats. To facilitate the information sharing process, CISA has developed a Cyber Event Information Sharing Fact Sheet.
