- On December 21, 2022
Based upon a seed industry-wide survey assessing continuous educational needs, the UC Davis Seed Biotechnology Center has launched online short courses called the Plant Breeding Academy E-Series. Click below for details on the series.
E-Series R-Studio (Level 1)
March 21 & 22, 2023
This module aims to introduce plant breeders and scientists to the world of R and to guide them through setting up their work environments, tools and workflows. This course will make use of the power of R-Studio and the plethora of tools in the Tidyverse to guide the student through the whole process from data collection, good practices on data organization, reporting, and everything in-between, always with the goals of transparency and reproducibility.
E-Series Statistics & Experimental Design
April 11 & 13, 2023
Foundational level, designed for plant breeding, product development, agronomy, and seed professionals working in all areas, this foundational course covers topics in descriptive statistics, data visualization, distributions, correlation, regression, comparison tests, replicated experimental designs CRD, RCBD, single location, single-year analysis, and trial quality. R demos are included.
E-Series Hybrid Breeding Strategies
