USDA National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard Goes into Effect

On January 1, 2022, the USDA National Bioengineered (BE) Food Disclosure Standard went into effect. The Standard requires food manufacturers, importers, and certain retails to disclose bioengineered foods. The program is managed by USDA AMS, which maintains the List of Bioengineered Foods as well as a comprehensive FAQ to help support compliance.
